Who was your favourite author growing up? Hands down for me…British author Enid Blyton. She’s probably not as well known in the US. She had these awesome mystery serials that made me start several secret clubs. There was nothing secret about them though, and the most investigating we did was…well none.
The crazy thing is that she died in 1968. I grew up reading her books in the 80′s, never realizing that they were almost 20 years old at that point. Reading Enid Blyton to my friends and I was on par to some of you reading Sweet Valley High, or Nancy Drew. The memories they bring back. That’s the kind of author I would like to be…timeless.
